Help and suggestions.
Hi guys and gals.
I've recently aquired a lovely Fender Telecaster and also a '57 twin amp.
Can anybody recommend a quality wah wah and dedicated compressor (boss?)? In the past i've just used my Pod for my non Rick guitars but I'm now looking for a more organic and less processed sound, obviuosly to get the most out of the guitar/amp.
Cheers.
Rob.

Re: Help and suggestions.
Congrats on your score. My pick would be a Teese Wah Wah and an Analog Man Compressor.

Is this what you use, or just from other recommendations?
Have to say I'm not familiar with either, but I'll do a bit of internepper searching!
Thanks again.
Re: Help and suggestions.
I'd get a Janglebox if I were you, works great on Fenders & ricks
Re: Help and suggestions.
I did use both in particular the Wah..The Janglebox is voiced really well for that Rick chime but for a Fender I would go with the Analog Man. Now days I use an outboard reverb for one channel and am setting up a small pedal board with a splitter for the other channel (tube screamer, delay, chorus, amp simulator and a magic stomp programed with Charlie Hall echos from the past patches).Mateybob wrote:Cheers.kenposurf wrote:Congrats on your score. I've got a Janglebox but I find it a bit noisy with the Tele when i'm not playing.
I'm sure I remember someone recommending some kind of Boss compressor?

I've found the Boss Compressors to really squish the sound, which is great for country chicken picking, but not for much else(IMHO). The MXR Dynacomps seem to be the faves in addition to the Janglebox, as well as the Ross ones. I personally would like to try the Barber Tone Press because it has a knob that blends the original signal back in to taste. All I can say is try out as many as you can, and happy hunting.
