Buffalo Springfield's drummer Dewey Martin has died, marking the passage of another gifted musician. I'll be sure to listen to Buffalo Springfield Again tomorrow.

Wow what a bummer. It says he died 1-31-09 and I just found out. Man this slipped by the news reports. I recently have gotten into The Buffalo Springfield and they are quickly becoming one of my favorite bands.

R.I.P. Dewey

I hope they get home all right.

Thanks for posting his, I had not heard. It is such sad news, I have been a fan of Buffalo Springfield ever since For What It's Worth came out.
I still have all their albums (vinyl!) , including a bootleg I found of what was to be their second album with different cover art- it was named
"Stampede" but was pulled in favor of "Again" , which of course featured Dewey on lead vocals on "Good Time Boy". Also have his solo record
Medicine Ball. He was truly a great drummer and by all accounts a great guy. He will be missed- God Bless, Dewey!
