The weather's supposed to be slight chance of rain showers after 11am. Hmm, probably not too much to worry about.

Oh, by the way, UPS tracking says my bass is OUT FOR DELIVERY!!!

Since Gary, our old UPS driver has retired, I sure hope the new guy doesn't get lost...
Yuppers, mine is out for delivery too. So, it should be anytime. They are usually between 10am - 2pm in my neighborhood with UPS.

My 4001 was my first bass and it was purchased new, influenced by Geddy, Chris, and Lemmy. I went with red, because everyone in Nebraska likes red and it just looks great done the Ricky way. Funny though, I never really used it for gigs. I learned bass on it, but by the time I was in bands I was using other axes. However, I could never get rid of it. It has always been the best looking bass to me and held a ton of sentimental value. So, this one I am hoping to use more. I have stayed with red on my basses because it was my little sister's favorite color and she passed last May...

Oh well, tick tock tick tock...

Better than XMAS! My wife and I don't really play the Xmas thing, why wait for one day to give your special someone something they want?

Anyway, do I HEAR something?

Sounds like a big engine or something...

Sounds kinda close too...

Hmm, 11:30 and no UPS truck. They're usually here by now.

It hasn't started raining yet, so the snow and ice out there aren't a whole lot slicker than usual...

Maybe this new guy just doesn't know how to drive on ice...

Or, MAYBE, he knows he's got something INCREDIBLY rare and valuable and he's going slow so as to be extra careful...

Yeah, that's probably it...

OK, if you insist. It's been posted already on the RRF New Bass Day thread, but more pics certainly can't hurt!

OK, how about a few more? I had a hard time getting the lighting right (yeah sure, no fancy lighting equipment here, just the gray cloudy light from the window, ceiling lights in the room, and sometimes the flash), so it's a bit hard to see the birdseye...
