We're looking forward to that!
C'mon John, you must be a little flattered that some guys in Japan in the 70's went to so much trouble to copy your products.. :D and credit to them for doing a good job of it too (not like these tragic chinese things floating around now).

I kinda like some of these japanese oddities, I think the 70's was an interesting time for a lot of this lawsuit sort of stuff, like I said, its a little piece of history (and I'm a 70's child and this was made around the same time as me!).

I know its not a substitute for the real thing! (I've got a 360 too and its beautiful.. as soon as we have an Australian importer again I'll happily pick up a new 4001)
Boy, are you barking up the wrong tree with this post....

Not in the least. That's as offensive as saying to someone on a wheelchair "Gee, at least you have a nice seat there".

A thief is a thief no matter how you paint it.

Are you sure you weren't looking for the "FakeResource Forum"?

Hey, I do LOVE my ric.. I did sell off half my gear after discovering a rickenbacker (it was one of those.. oh daaaaamn moments)..

I'm a 70's child, I find the whole 70's lawsuit period fascinating, it created some interesting changes in the industry.. I'm not here trying to sell anything, I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything, I thought a couple of guys may be interested to see something which is probably somewhat rare.. as soon as it arrives I'll take some decent detail shots (inside and out), at LEAST then maybe people can see some of the details that make them different so people won't get ripped off by unscrupulous guys who 'rebadge' them and will know what to look out for.

Like I said, I'm not trying to substitute for the real deal here.. there is no substitute, its a historic oddity that may interest some.. thats all..
