Right about now, 7:30 PM Central standard time (actually their first set was a little earlier than that, but we just got done watching it on DVD, so we're late) everybody in America was watching this. The second set featured I Saw Her Standing There. Any chance Paul, mindful of the occasion, chose that song to play last night at the Grammy's?

45 Years Ago Tonight...
Re: 45 Years Ago Tonight...
I was on it like fly on stink, and life was never the same thereafter.
All I wanna do is rock!

I was 10 years old......
(I still think 'All My Lovin' stands as one of George's best harmonies ever)
No doubt about it.... Pauly did a great job!

It was a cold, rainy Sunday night. Even my parents were glued to the TV set that night. Forty-five years ago, who would have thought the Beatles would last this long? And none of us on the RRF have been the same since.
John, George, I still miss you lads.

You do realize that George simply takes over the main melody (lower part) while Paul sings the high harmony, right?brammy wrote:I was 10 years old......

I first realized this when Live at the Hollywood Bowl came out.

I've always loved the way they switch lead for this verse. A great version of this song, one that is very easy to tell, is on the Live at the BBC album.
