History of Psychedelic Rock 迷幻樂的歷史
Re: History of Psychedelic Rock 迷幻樂的歷史
I've actually had a few people ask me if I am related to her. Hilarious!...until you realize there are as many folks in the Stuttgart telephone book with the surname Krause/Kraus/Krauss as there are Smiths and Jonese in New York City.

That's hilarious Jim.

Who could imagine that a thread about Psychedelic Rock could produce such.....umm....driftiness...
I didn't get where I am today by being on time...

Re: History of Psychedelic Rock 迷幻樂的歷史
Another historical Psychedelic Rock song, (maybe, some say, the first psychedlice rock song) allegedly was a 45 rpm single released in the San Francisco area, "Bass Strings" by Country Joe and the Fish. This version is different than the "remake" of Bass Strings released on the Vanguard label a year or so later, CJ&F first album "Electric Music for the Mind and Body".
Was wondering if any of you psychedelic music fans might have access to this original version ..... any MP3s floating around of that old 45 ??
On the subject of Country Joe and the Fish, I understand that Barry "The Fish" Melton eventually hung up his Gibson SG, after various stints as a solo artist, went to law school and is now a Public Defender or some occupation like that, somewhere... probably looking at retirement in the near future and a pension for his government service.

Psychedlic Rock History flashback:
Here's a modern take (2008) of a guy who appreciates that very fine John Cippolina intro to "Who Do You Love" from the Happy Trails LP (Quicksilver Messenger Service) back in 1968.
(Hope its not off-topic, as he's not playing a Ric, but it's some real nice fretwork)
