Mapleglo with gold pg bass? anyone?

Post by Mr.Mow »

I've searched high and low.. I've not seen one..

Here is a pic I found on ebay of a 660 w/gold, its pretty damn buff looking!

Anyone got a 400X with gold?

But you'd have to strip it and clear-coat it to be Ampleglo!!!! That may have an impact on the resale.....

Apologies for being a smart-alec....

I thought you did?

Sweet, gorgeous bass...

Anyway, to Russell;
I've wondered how that combination would look, too, but haven't seen a bass like that either.
But the guitar in your post gives me enough of an idea, and it's not quite what I'd hoped. Oh well.

As I read through the thread and saw Evans post, I was going to fix the typo, but now that you've said that, Mike...

Well, I tried to resist, but Evan mentioned smart-alec, and it must have had a subconscious effect on my reply...
Uh...Yeah, yeah, that was it!

Jeff, you wouldn't be thinking of this one, would you? It's not MG, but maybe it will do:
4001V63 JG Front
4001V63 JG Front
Someone tried to "Lennonize" it:
4001V63 JG Python
4001V63 JG Python

 I am so sorry I missed out on that bass!
I am starting a fund, setting aside some every payday, hoping specifically for the day that becomes available again!
That just KILLS me...all I'd need is that bass and my old panhead and I'd die a happy man.
Oh, and uh, maybe the wife...

Especially with a toaster pickup and check binding.. I was kicking myself I didn't have the spare cash to buy the 660 in that pic, it went for a song on ebay..

Ron, that V63JG with the gold is just awesome. There's a JG I could go for. Hmmm, I got a V, all I need is a can of gloss black Krylon and a gold guard....

He he ...that's exactly what I deserve - to commit a typo whilst being obnoxious!!!

Actually, Ampleglo is a very glossy Mapleglo....
