The bass came that way to me courtesy of another forum member. It has a gold TRC as well. It would not surprise me at all if Tony did indeed do the work.thb_bassman wrote:+1admin wrote:Of all the finishes that have been available over the years, I still marvel at the magic of jetglo with the white guard and nameplate.
Brian, is the gold guard from Tony @ pickguardian?
Looks cool on the JG...

That's how they were made, Ken. Like the Blackstar, Redneck, and Tuxedo it has a maple fretboard finished to match the body, and microdot position markers.ken_j wrote:Nice!rickaddict wrote: Or do you guys not like me 'cuz I'm "different?"

I think he's referring to Jeff's Glen Frey.bassduke49 wrote:rickaddict wrote:

Wait a minute. Which are we talking about? The "Blackened" Laredo that Brian shows was custom refinished including the black fretboard, so it ain't "how they were made." I think it may have been a maple fretboard to begin with, but don't remember exactly.
Isn't Jeff talking about his own bass -that Glenn Frey?bassduke49 wrote:rickaddict wrote:

An alternative title to this thread could be "Tony's Nightmare Finish Thread".ajish4 wrote:JETGLO.........................BAH!![]()
