Actual Shadow Photo

Post by 4003 »

I found this digging through a box of old photos. I took this self shadow photo in my dorm room at Purdue University in the Fall of 1986. I bought the bass new over the Summer. Once I brought it to the dorm, everyone wanted to play it (or at least touch it.)

It is still my main bass.

NIce one Bob. You are a shadow of your former self.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Cool photo! Was the bass actually a shadow too?

Purdue, huh? I vaguely remember that place!
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

With all the expert knowledge of some forum members, I would not be surprised if someone could identify the model and year from the headstock shadow but the color??? That would be impressive!

Given that a lot of Ricks have the same shape:

'07 660DCM and '98 4001V63.
