New Rickenfakers

Post by spongebob »

I thought the copies were the things of the '70s...not so! Available, it seems, in two shades!

It's not exactly cheap, either. I'm surprised they get away with making them, given the way copies are removed off e-bay!

I've seen a couple of these for sale in Canada. Notably here: http://classaxe.ca/basses/new_basses/more/indb02/
Junk IMHO.

Here's another Canadian shop that's carrying the fakers:

They also have a link to a distributor in Cornwall Ontario:

Hark, I think I hear the gentle sound of RIC's crack SWAT team of lawyers swinging into action!

Someone is going to get a quick education on what trademark violation is and discover how the word "enforcement" relates to the protection of intellectual property.

They used a different headstock shape so it's OK. Right? :)

Hi fellow forumites

I had the oppertunity to play one of these indie basses at a local giutar shop , and I have to say it does not compare to the original in feel or sound. It feels flimsy and cheap.

Just my experience .............

take care all , great forum

I thinks that's where the "real deal" will always win hands down...nothing else is a Ric!
