I admit this is post probably my fault as I posted the Girls Aloud thread, but this has no sniff of a redeeming feature...it is subterranean.

Actually that's Lee Pomeroy on 4003. Lee also plays bass with the current incarnation of It Bites, who were rather splendid when I saw them at Christmas. He seems to be quite heavily influenced by prog and apparently has his own prog band. I'm guessing Take That pays the bills...

Sounds like XTC (circa Oranges and Lemons) strained through an old pair of synthetic tights, and split 50/50 with e-numbers...sounds like it is "of its time".

Very much of its time, but you forgot to mention the big Genesis influence clearly apparent in the keyboard solo. It's inevitable I suppose, but being their 'hit single', it's not exactly a true indication of what they were/are about.

Speaking of XTC, I might just pop along to find out what this is all about:

Nothing much to miss just another boy band heres the low down.
Take that boyband, sing, girls loved em,sold loads, every girl had their poster,Robbie Williams left to pursue a solo career, robbie sold loads take that didnt,Robbie did a 80 mill record deal, realsed a few album and died oot!,Take that reformed and, sing, girls love em again, selling loads and so the circle will take them down a road they have been before. :D
