Old a.g.r pics.......

Post by jwilli »

A short time after the Alt.guitar.rickenbacker was started, someone posted pics of a number of rare Rickenbacker instruments. I tried to save them but they were .dat files and once downloaded, I couldn't open them. Does anyone remember these pics? I vaguely remember seeing a late 60s WALNUT 370, a couple of 360Fs and a number of others. I know this is a longshot but does anyone else remember these? I believe the poster was from Oz. Thanks!

Do you still have those .dat files? If so, just for kicks try renaming the extensions as .jpg and see what happens. You may get a window pop up that asks if you are sure you want to rename the file. Click yes. It is possible you may then see pics!

While we're at it...

Did anybody ever save off the collector pics from The Rickenbacker Project?

Somebody there posted the "Ric Capri prototype" Guitarbroker had for sale in '97 for $8500.00.

I'd like to take a look at that one again to see just what it was.

JWilli, some of those may be on Bjorn's site. Take a look. I remember the ones you mention.
