I use the orange Tortex, I think they are 0.50mm.

I use these too for six string (actually 0.60mm, but what's 0.1mm between friends?), the reds (0.50mm) for 12 string and purples (1 mm?) for bass. Nice and grippy, cool sound and long lasting.

I bough some Mosrite parts last year and the seller threw in a big bag of the orange tortex picks. Some people may find this pathetic, but it made my day!

I use the red (.5mm) Star Picks. I use the side of the pick (not the point) so the hole lets me grip without slippage.

Dang, that would have made my day too!!

I use the orange dunlops exclusively, and still seem to buy a small bag every year....they just keep going and going. Turning up in my laundry and under the sofa etc etc...

Here in the UK, last months guitarist magazine came with 5 nice and brightly coloured free picks.

"Great" I thought, I'll use them at rehearsal and if the other guys steal them it's no great shakes.

I picked myself a lovely bright yellow one and started to play my Jetglo 360/12. Half way through the second song I had to stop playing. The pick was now just a quarter of it's original size and my lovely jetglo guitar now had a coating of yellow dust! Grrr!

The moral to the story is....'pick wisely and certainly don't pick cheaply!'
