Whatever it is I hope people here are polite about it, even if they're disappointed that they didn't get what they wanted. If you don't have anything nice to say, please don't say anything at all!

I'd be cool with an all carbon-fiber Ric. I like the all carbon-fiber cellos and uprights I've heard.
Re: Be prepared to flip out!!!
The real question is... when are we going to find out?

I'm cool with that stuff being on my bike or my fighter jet, but I prefer good ol' maple for my basses, thank you!cassius987 wrote:I'd be cool with an all carbon-fiber Ric. I like the all carbon-fiber cellos and uprights I've heard.

.... oh, wait...
Re: Be prepared to flip out!!!
Maybe an official Paul McCartney reissue? That would certainly overlap the C64...
Re: Be prepared to flip out!!!
Whatever it is, I can guarantee two things.
1) I will probably want one.
2) I won't be able to afford whatever it is.

Re: Be prepared to flip out!!!
My official guess: something a lot closer to the v63. Same vibe, normal headstock orientation, same colors as the 4003 (although maybe primarily FG).
A reissue of a reissue? Call it a v63v90? Or just a RM1999 reissue?
I'd love a 1964 deluxe reissue, myself.

Good news is, you'll have two years to pay for it - interest free.gareth wrote:Whatever it is, I can guarantee two things.

Re: Be prepared to flip out!!!
Wait! Dont forget the 21 fret Rickenbacker 4001 re-issue!
Seriously, with the way they've been faithfully bringing back almost all of the classic vintage features, I'll be grateful for anything they bring out.
Bring it on Rickenbacker!

I'm with you on this one. Maybe there should be a support group.
Re: Be prepared to flip out!!!
I think a possible 4005 reissue has already been ruled out because the high costs right?
