I use Fender classic celluloid heavies. They are the most comfortable for me. I use them until the point is rounded off and then use what's left for bass. I'm not a fan of the MOTO or the Cali Clears as they both wear out too quickly for me. I've never liked the feel of the Tortex either, despite really trying to make a go of it with them.

Fender Medium , tortoise or California Clears. MOTO's wear out fastest for me.

Funny, I always break the Clears really quickly - MOTOs are my favorite!

I love the way MOTO's look- especially red. I don't know why I wear them down faster than the other two

Cool Picks - Juratex, 0.8mm and 0.5mm. They don't slip out of my fingers the way regular Fender mediums tend to do, and they have the right amount of flex.

I mix it up a lot. Sometimes I want more pick attack -- so I'll use these imitation tortoiseshell things they sell at the bluegrass store. They're big triangles, with either semi-pointy or very rounded tips; nice CLACK when they strike the string. Dunlop Big Stubbies are pretty good for this purpose, too. Especially the heaviest ones. I've also been known to break a CD into pieces...

Other times, I'll want a slightly rounder attack. So I'll use the heaviest pick I can find: the Dunlop 207 and 208 models are good for this. Also the really heavy Dunlop gels, or a 2 mm Dunlop 500.

Best overall pick I've ever used is the Adamas graphite. 2 mm. Adamas made them for awhile; then Dunlop made them; right now, they're discontinued. I'm hoping for a comeback!

If you want a LOT of treble, try the Dunlop FELT picks (off-white, slightly orangey color). I was completely surprised -- assumed they'd mute everything. Just the opposite.

Yellow Dunlop Tortex .73 MM picks. The yellow color has the added option of being highly visible on a darkened stage should one drop or a new one need to be hastily grabbed from atop my pedalboard or amp.

Fender "kown vomit" (aka: confetti) heavy picks. They feel better in my bumbling hoofs than any other.

Damon's looks like an original oldie. I've got a couple of them that were given to me by somebody in the distant past.

There is an ebay seller who sells similar new ones. However, lately he's had every possible color except tortoise-shell. Here's a link to some in fake abalone:

Oddly enough, I never seem to settle for one long enough to call it my favorite or "go to" pick. Usually something similar to a Gibson medium, but have used everything from a Pickboy white to a paper thin Dunlop. Depends on what feels best at the time, I've got a tin full of them.

Strange that all the guitar picks i buy (i normally get for 10 at a time all Dunlops) seem to vanish.I think ive a pick theif in my hoose!
