Ah, you have the limited edition AC30 HW that was released prior to the introduction of the CC series; very cool amp you have there, as you well know, I'm sure! The HW model I mentioned is the new Anniversary HW AC30 that came out last year.lennon211 wrote:A bit more: mine is a limited edition that was made in England. It sports the master volume, reverb, trem, and tone cut. It has the Vox blues that aren't hard-wired to the amp.
With Rics (and most others), it sounds excellent. The master volume really helps me with this amp as I can get the tones that I want and not have to disturb anyone else...although that takes away some of the fun.

Yep, it's the limited edition. It's an amazing amp. It's sitting across the room on its chrome stand at the moment with my 360/12v64 resting close by.paologregorio wrote:Ah, you have the limited edition AC30 HW that was released prior to the introduction of the CC series; very cool amp you have there, as you well know, I'm sure! Where are you, here?btomlinson wrote:I was at MARF briefly. I am rather shy and did not know anyone personally other than in this forum. I stayed for about an hour. I got there when you were all doing the group picture.

I was not in the picture. I arrived as they were taking it. I'll say hello next year.
Re: Rick / AC30 Settings
Thanks for the info, Paolo! I'm leaning toward the handwired version though I just took a detour as a deal came up on a Randall RM4 with several modules. If this works well with my current set-up, I'll sell off the modules I don't want, and get the Vox and early Marshall modules, and in time get an AC15 Handwired (the AC 30 will be more than I need with the RM4). If the RM4 doesn't work out, then its back to AC30 or AC15 handwired. I like the saturation at higher levels, but that will not work at home - so the AC15 is more likely for me. If needed, I could mike it through my Bose L1 system for more volume.
