A new line of faker

Post by 12stringbassist »

Spotted today in HW Audio Bolton...
Anniversary basses apeing the 4001 in Fireglo and jetglo.
Also the 330 style 6er.
Didn't ask for prices, as HW are always £200-300 dearer than anywhere else.

Slightly more convincing than a Rockinbetter, the 6er still has the same looping tailpiece design, so I suspect they are made in the same place. The appearance of the 4001 style is upgraded significantly. The TRC is not sharkfin shaped.

Still firewood, though.

I had no luck trying to find a photo when I posted, however - there are some when I just checked on the HW site. You'd have to visit the site to see them. No pic of the 4003 copy.

Hmmm. Interesting that they had no photo of their "Ricky" 4003. As for the new copies, I suppose nothing surprises me any more. :|

Not a bass, but the "bast*rd-child" of a 4003 and a 620 (it's a guitar)...

Click
Even worse, a spalted-maple one

Well... I think that's YUK!!!

I only say this because I hate having the forum advertise fakers, but I'd rather just send a heads up link in an email to JH regarding makers of RIC copies. Though I am sure that JH is most likely aware of most if not all inf ringers.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

I certainly wouldn't dream of advertising a faker.
It's a heads up for the Ric-Police.
