Schaller BMC tuners

I've been looking at pics of 4000/4001/4003 headstocks an somehow it looks like the shaft of the Schaller tuners is smaller than 11/16". Am I correct, did Ric have tuners special made or are the Schaller BMC's they used "normal" 11/16" shaft ones? If someone knows the exact model number for tuners Ric used it would be even better.

To be correct 11/16" is the size of the peghole, shaft on BMC is 0.55" to be correct. Anyhow this looks bigger than the ones on every Rick I've seen.

The shafts are 1/2", IIRC the standard for most Schallers is 9/16" with the M4S tuners being 11/16".

Actually I measured it myself last night and the shafts on my bass were 3/8''. Must have changed at some point. The diameter of the superficial washer was 11/16''. The shaft didn't taper until the point of exposure where it still maintained the same cylindrical volume in essence, because it tapers back out.

The hole in the headstock for the bushing on stock RIC/Schaller vintage tuners and the old Klusons is 1/2". The hole for Schaller M4's is a close metric equivalent that is slightly smaller.
