Tom Petty and Mike Campbell's gear

Post by dwinn »

Hey. I see a lot of footage of the Heartbreakers practicing and doing interviews in their rehearsal space. And the entire wall is lined with guitars. Does anyone know of an article or video where Tom or Mike talks about all the gear? I'd really like to find out. Image

There was an issue of Vintage Guitar a couple years ago featuring them and their instruments.

You should also get Running Down A Dream, it is a must have DVD.

That would be the November, 2006 issue of Vintage Guitar magazine.

Thanks, Kris. I was too lazy to go upstairs and open the drawer that it is in, about a 30 second procedure.

Tom and Mike's gear is too much for words, more than likely, combined they have over 1,000 guitars...just a guess.

There are some great pics of a number of their guitars in that VG article.

Still the best copy of VG I've ever come across. A great read with great pics to boot.
