Oef. When I'm done with getting enough Rickenbacker's I want a (Rob Allen) mouse.

While you may receive it when expected, I wouldn't hold my breath. What is more likely is that it will be longer than expected. (mine arrived 6 months after it was expected) Who knows what may happen between now and then.
+1 on this. My bass player ordered a 4003 a little over 2 years ago. Quoted wait time when he ordered it was 12-14 months. In that time frame I purchased 4 Ricks from dealer stock that kept turning up. Power of positive visualization I guess. P's him off to no end though
He's STILL waiting
Bet he ordered a Fireglo.
Well , my bass player called with huge news: He got the long-awaited phone call from Chris at Pick of the Ricks!! His fire-glo 4003 arrived!! 2 years and 3 months. Now maybe I won't hear him cryin' at rehearsals anymore. Hallelujah  :D

Brian,

That's tempting, but no, I'm gonna wait out my order. Some of my previous money problems have sorted themselves out. I likely won't be able to pay all cash for her whenever she gets here, but I will have some. I can't believe I'm actually managing to save money. That is SO not me.

Yeah, feels weird, doesn't it? I'm the same way.
Goes to show you what you can do when you have a goal and want to reach it badly enough.

Jim,

Yes, that's very true. I have been saving for my Larrivee custom build since Christmas. It should be ready by mid this month and I am shocked to say that I managed to save the money in time.

Thought I should post an update to this conundrum. Well a few things have worked themselves out. First, I was able to save the money I needed to pay off my Larrivee Custom #66 of 78 which should be shipping next week. Second, my tax return paid off my credit cards and I plan to keep them that way. Next plan is to start to save for the Ric and hopefully pay it off before it gets here. Thanks everyone for the moral support. I am SO happy I didn't cancel.

An old coot down the block once told me, "A Rick will get you through times of no money, better than money will get you through times of no Rick."

Man! Was he ever wise!! :)
