Thanks, yeah, I have a weak spot for the "basic" models, I have a 4000 and love it. That's what grabbed me about the 330/12, no binding, dot markers, etc.

Got the 330/12 today!

Beautiful, gorgeous guitar. Mine is Fireglo, and I have to say, the elegance of this instrument is something to behold. I jammed on it a little through my Fender Champ 600 amp, then through my Ampeg B100R bass combo (!) and it sounds amazing!

Tonight I will really put it through the paces, playing as many Beatles tunes with electric 12 string I can think of!

Way cool, Robbie. Again, props to you. Hope you were wearing your Oakleys because the *GLO* can be unsuspectingly blinding when you open the case! Here are a few pics of my 330/12 AFG. Peace out, brah.......Goofyfoot.

Beautiful guitar, goofyfoot! Looks kinda like mine!

Boy, this thing really nails the "sound" of vintage 60s pop. The neck is a little narrow, but I am already used to it!

So far, I am digging the neck PU with tone all the way up. Clear and bright!

Your 330/12 looks amazing, David. :D The FG looks a lot like that on my '67 330.

Robbie.......You nailed it when you said the 330/12 really nails the "sound" of vintage 60's pop. My neck seems a little thicker but like you, I got used to it in a hurry. There is something about its understated elegance that makes it such a sublime guitar to hold and play. I had mine shipped by Chris @ POTR to my school and I picked it up at the main office during lunch. Unboxed it in the classroom and waited for rapscallions to return from lunch. As we opened the case case together, you could hear a chorus of "ooooo's" and "aaahhh's" from 'em. A couple of kids were guitarists and they said the coolest thing. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hey, Mr. W. has to play the first chords!" Agreed. That is the standard protocol, isn't it? (He-he) Brought my old 80's Fender Super Champ to the classroom that day in anticipation of the 330/12's arrival. Had it already powered up to let the tubes heat up. Plugged in and strummed a G7sus4 and held it. Followed it up indiscriminately with I think a C#, F#m, and G#min. Ended up pickin' the intro to the Animals' "It's My Life" and got through it. Wow, we all thought ---- not at my playing but at the tone and resonance of the Rickenbacker. Yep, I still remember that afternoon in Room 10. I think I was wearing my Oakleys as we opened the case 'cause I didn't want to get blinded by the "glo." I know I took some pics of it after dismissal. Let me dig around for a few.....

Here they are, sans Toasters® and oven knobs.....

Peace, out.....Goofyfoot.

VERY cool story, goofyfoot! I teach as well, and my students will eventually get to see my 330/12!

I also got mine from Chris at Pick Of The Ricks, he is very cool and helpful, and the guitar he sent is first rate.

My first chords were standarda, then some barre chords, then TICKET TO RIDE and TURN TURN TURN!!

I can't stop playing it. In the photos, I though the body may be too big for me, but once I put it on with a strap, it is perfect. I am really happy with my choice!

Now, if I can only avoid the urge to buy more! :D

Nice 330/12s, guys. I bought a mint 1998 330/12 FG about this tme last year. I added toasters, vintage knobs and the 12 saddle bridge. It's the best Ric 12 I've ever played. Great model.

Here's pic of my slightly modded 330/12. It's a 1998, with a nice dark FG.
