Tell me does it feel the same when you've set upon a change but your heart's in the old times?
E-mail this guy, maybe if you ask nice, he'll ship it to you.

Compared to the US it is unreasonable but compared to prices in the UK I think it's not too bad. At the moment I'm after a Ric as a back up bass though and this is far to much to pay for a back up bass! I'd be afraid to use the thing!

Ronan, to answer your question on the sound of the C64 compared to a 4003 - I own these basses among others and can tell you that the C64 has a nice and warm sound where as the 4003's sound is a little more "flat". (The C64S sounded the same as the non S when I played them just felt/looked different, of course).
Last night I used my C64 MG for a show with my band here in Tel-Aviv. The sound guy said he would not touch the board's EQ because the bass sounded perfect. He even prefered it to my V63(!). I was a bit nervous playing it on a show for the first time - you know - banging it by accident, scratching it etc' but thats all over now and I'll use it again on Saturday.
This is not a new idea, but I think you should check how much tax you'd have to pay and consider importing one from the US. Good luck.

My band is RockFour - check out our site (rockfour.com) and tell me what you think. Yes, Tel-Aviv is amazing and there are some (not many...) Rics around there too.

(( Tis a beaut of a bass. What do they play like compared to the 4003?
