Either way, I friggin' love it. A month earlier or so and I'd have MOP inlays, but honestly the acrylic ones are just killer. It's even got a screw-top hi gain in the bridge, not to mention the weird sharp-corner '72-style surround. And it's so stock (at least as far as my eye can tell). Judging by the wear, it looks like the pickup cover's never even been taken off. Also someone played the hell out of it, which I plan to continue doing...
Just had to spread the joy. No more trading up for me - any 4001's I buy from now on are pure gravy!

Enjoy, and welcome! It is a great player. Are the inlays still popping out some? I never had a problem with it but you may wish to address it if you plan to keep it for some time.
