360...strings ringing out through the amp?

Post by fiveightandten »

I have a 360/6, which I love. It's an incredible guitar. But when i'm playing distorted, the sound of the strings (between the bridge and the tail piece) rings out after muting a chord.

I was just wondering if anyone has a fix for this, other than just wrapping a rubber band around the strings or something.

Just curious.

Scotch tape works for me;) A more permanent fix is to glue a beefy piece of leather to the underside of the R tailpice to damp all the strings their.

Thanks John, I may try that. I kinda of like the ambience that the ringing gives during certain things. But when I need it to be silent after hitting a hard chord or something, the ringing can be a bit of an annoyance.

Great guitar otherwise.
