Late 40's NS steel pickup - DC resistance?

Post by porge »

Hey guys,

What's the general range these pickups were wound to? I have a c.'48 NS that I'm currently troubleshooting - the pickup measures 1.8K ohm with the volume/tone controls out of the picture. I'd have thought them to have a bit more wire than that! :D

You may want to cross post this in "Winding Up With The Best". Sergio may know. It sounds too low to me but I have no idea what the range should be.
