Hey, I'm soooooo glad that she's being played. That's what it's all about isn't it? I'm not sure that I could buy an instrument for the sheer beauty and let her sit in a case to preserve the beauty....these basses need to be played!

I will review Jeff. I actually took the day off to make sure I was home to sign for her. It's currently 25 degrees here. Not sure if I should give any climate acclimation time before opening the case, thoughts?

Yes, I think you should wait at least 24 hours. It might have sat outside in a truck over night. That's gonna be a big temp adjustment.scottpro1969 wrote:I will review Jeff. Good luck.
Watch this in the meantime (and then it'll be stuck in your head).

I think it's message appropriate and timely.

Even though it is tough looking at the box and not opening, Jeff is right, wait. Better than watching the clear coat crackle before your eyes....

Well, she's an amazing bass. Incredibly thin neck...low action, and it's tone is exactly what I'm after. TI Jazz flats on there. I haven't held a Rick for a few years and it just felt like I was holding an old friend. So comfortable.

Very nice, Scott! Congrats and enjoy it!
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!
Re: Fed-Ex transit...the waiting game
Scott, a great looking bass! What month in ’74? Mine was made in June (MG with white pickguard and TRC). Sweetest neck I have ever played (that’s why I still have it). Wavy Grovers and all… it looks sweet! Congrats!!!!

Tom,
Thanks, mine was made in September of '74. This originally had a white pickguard and TRC. The previous owner swapped them out for the black, which are...in fact, a true '74 black p/g and TRC. This bass is just amazing. Wavy Grovers too. The neck is to die for. I'm in heaven, I truly am.
