Good job, Wes! That's a fun one.

All I wanna do is rock!

Fun indeed! Thanks for sharing.

Well done. I am pleased and amazed by how the Beatles continue to be embraced by each new generation.

That sounds great Wes (love your vids). I really need a V63.

I think it's Harrison, not Richards...Wes isn't that big of a Stones fan, at least not post "Let It Bleed" material anyway...peewee wrote:Nice playing, Wes! I also like your new Keith Richards avatar!
Wes, what effects and strings are you using with that V63? It sounds good!
Re: V63 Video - Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite
I was pretty much brought up with them, so in a way it's no different to the way you were probably introduced to them. They just weren't happening in real-time in my childhood.rickfan60 wrote:Well done. I am pleased and amazed by how the Beatles continue to be embraced by each new generation.
It's actually Ringo, from the Paperback Writer/Rain videos. I do like the Stones, but I just feel like they kept repeating themselves at a certain point. My favorite is their '60s stuff, but there are certainly some stand-out tracks in the early '70s as well.JakeK wrote:I think it's Harrison, not Richards...Wes isn't that big of a Stones fan, at least not post "Let It Bleed" material anyway...

The V63 is strung up with Pyramids and has both pickups full on with the tone knobs halfway down. It's running through a Janglebox directly into a Presonus Firebox into Logic Pro.

Is it that hard to believe?rickfan60 wrote:Well done. I am pleased and amazed by how the Beatles continue to be embraced by each new generation.

Thanks, Wes, I think I'll learn this part now with your video.
You came very close to nailing the sound of the original recording. What exactly are the settings? It's obviously the toaster, and the mute engaged?

Now I see what a Janglebox can do to a bass! Was the setting on dark, normal or bright?1965 wrote:The V63 is strung up with Pyramids and has both pickups full on with the tone knobs halfway down. It's running through a Janglebox directly into a Presonus Firebox into Logic Pro.
If you sold your Mesa Boogie bass amp, what's your bass rig these days?
