2003 or 2007?!

Post by Mr.Mow »

Ok, I have the choice between...
a 2003 4003 in near new condition..
or
a 2007 4003 with minor scratches and minor dents..

Both same price, both same colour.. can't see or play either of them..

which?! or is there really any difference between em?

2003 will have a chunkier neck profile.

It would happen a hell of a lot quicker if someone would buy my damn 360!!! I thought $2500 for a almost new condition 360 in MG would be a quick sale.. Ebay is so slow right now..

Russ, the 2003 will be bigger, but nowhere near uncomfortably bigger, and will be very stable. My 2004 is like that.

2007 will have walnut headpiece wings and the vintage "push pull cap bypass". You might want to consider this.

I'd go with the 2003 unless you have to have walnut wings, which are just an aesthetic feature (mostly--I halfway wonder if they impact string energy in a positive way but it's pseudoscience right now). The push-pull cap can be installed on your own at any time.

Thanks guys, I hit the 2003.. its midnight blue anyway, so 'wings' are no issue!

Ironically it will be here in 4 days, but customs and easter holidays means I prob wont see it for 3-4 weeks
