"Daaang, I still trip out on this music," you say to yourself with a wry smile. Yeeaaahhh, man. Don't forget to search your archives.

Funny you should post this topic. There have been several lately, but the one that stands out is "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" by Traffic. It brought back memories of substance abuse back when it was all about sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll. I'm surprised I survived.

That was one of my favorite Country Joe & The Fish LPs. "Sad and Lonesome Times" was one of my favorite cuts off of it. That song deserves to be re-arranged and covered.

dog.......Traffic --- one of my all-time fave groups along with The Band. I totally dug Winwood, Capaldi, Wood, and Mason when they started and Winwood, Capaldi, Wood, Grech, Gordon, and Kwaku Baah when they came out with "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys." Fortunately, I caught Traffic's concert @ San Francisco's Winterland Arena on 01.26.73 after the release of "Shootout at the Fantasy Factory." Sublime lineup --- Winwood, Capaldi, Wood, Kwaku Baah, Hood, and Hawkins, the last two being part of the famed Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section.

Interesting band. "Four Horesmen" made me think of King Crimson, and the clip "Tribulation" had me thinking Gentle Giant. One thing is for sure, as far as I know, this type of music is not being written any more. Pity.

Vangelis and Demis Roussos were both in this band from Greece, and Irene Pappas gave an unforgettable cameo on one track.

Indeed, they don't make 'em like this anymore.

Then there was an AWFUL Jon Anderson and Vangelis "Short Stories" that was nothing if not shrilly irritating. Ugh.

Yeah, 'egad''...Vangelis was rumored, for a time, to be the heir apparent to Rick Wakeman's 'throne'', but he evidently couldn't cut the mustard, like fer instance: makin' those Hammond rips on 'Heart of The Sunrise'...some Swiss cat with big hair got that gig...well, everybody had big hair in those days.

the first king crimson album still trips me out. 21st century schizoid man,followed by i talk to the wind followed by eptitaph...etc,just an out of body experience through music.......
