...at least a lefty 4001V63 or C64. Since I started gassing for one of these, two have come up up for sale on dealers sites and were gone by the time I found them. There's one on hold in England but I'm sure it will be paid for and gone also. I should have bought this one that was on ebay a while back.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0291792885 Only $2K! Unfortunately, there was a short scale, 21 fret, 4003S with a Buy It Now option running at the same time. I went for the 4003S, and don't regret it becasue it's a fantastic bass, but I'm beginning to think it's going to be a long search for a lefty V63 or C64 (I really want a FG finish)...If anyone sees one, please shoot me an email.
Thanks,
Rick

Yes. Your search will probably be a long one.
Maybe you should post a WTB in the market place section.

Use your 4003S short scale, it's a great bass and will get that Macca tone...who said you *needed* a toaster and a horseshoe?
By the way, didn't you say you couldn't play long scale basses due to some shoulder/back related problem?

Yep, I have a feeling it will take a while. I guess the hunt is half the fun and I'm pretty patient.
Jake,
Yes, I have shoulder problems from when I had my lung removed, due to lung cancer. They gave me an antibiotic from the Cipro family that causes severe tendon damage in some people. Remember when the Post Office received all those letters that contained anthrax? The gave all the workers that came in to contact with the envelopes Cipro. A couple of months later a lot of them started having ruptured tendons. The doctors gave me the same thing after the lung surgery. I've been taking therapy for it and it's getting better. I think I over did it the other day cuz I'm hurting pretty good right now. Anyway, the therapist recommends that I do some things that exercises all those muscles instead of avoiding doing those things. So, I thought a long scale bass might do the trick. Since I'm such a McCartney fan, I want a V63 or C64. Mandoling Bros had a V63PMC back in January and I was too ignorant to realize what it was. I wish I would have snagged that one...Oh well, on with the hunt..
