Our esteemed systems admin!

Post by jps »

I had a visit this evening by Gil and his wife, Kareene. :D I wish we had all day but, alas, we only had a few short hours to cram everything into!

As a gesture of good samaritanism I gave this to Gil....

I hope Gil has fun over here. Looks like a great bass Jeff. Did you give him the case too? He will need it if he going to take it home with him. :D

Jeff, if I'd have known your hospitality extended so far I would have come to visit long ago. Well if anyone deserves it, it's Gil. So what new goodies are you guys plotting to spring on us unsuspecting 'mites?

...to play while visiting!

He played all my Ricks and the Gretsch and the Zon and the Rick Turner and the Höfner! He said this was the first time he ever saw one (the Höfner) in person. We discussed photography and I showed Gil a bit of how to use a view camera. Busy evening. Time to sleep. :!:

Hmm Jeff that is bad! What is the terminology for first giving and then taking a valuable item back? No we can't write that because it sounds a bit off these days. But you know what I mean. I hope you guys had a great time.

Looks like a great time. With all the things you and Gil share, I can see why time was short. Wish I could have been there.

It is great to see Gil on this side of the pond. That bass seems to suit you fine, Gil. :)

Yeah, simply stopping down doesn't always do the trick.

Hey guys.
Meeting Jeff and Sherri was really great and both Kareene and I had such a great time.
We originally planned on being there for an hour as we had a 3.5 hours drive back to Michigan and we arrived to Jeff's at around 18:30, we stayed for almost 3 hours and got back to Milford at 1am :)
I wish we had more time :|

Jeff and I already agreed that we'll try to arrange a confluence on our next visit to Michigan (actually - it was Sherri's idea! :))

Jeff and Sherri - thank you for your warm hospitality! it was our pleasure meeting you guys.
So long and thanks for all the fish!
