Hah! We will be in the same place but at different ends of the country humming the same tune. How cool is that?

I don't get it. The Ashes series doesn't start till July and they must have changed the trophy.

Hmmm... even though we've had it a few times, it seems to be getting pretty rare around here too... :(
While I have to support my team, I am not certain Les Habitants will go very far this time around. Maybe we'll win one game. Maybe...

I am hoping that this is the Canucks year. So far we are looking strong. Our goaltending is superb and we have three solid lines and they are all healthy. Our fourth line is very good as well. Fingers crossed. 8)

I'm with you Brian - the Canucks are the team I'm rooting for this year (and it has nothing to do with Sundin!). They have a solid team and arguably the league's best goalie. But then again, I'll root for anyone but the Habs! (Sorry Dean! :) )

No worries Steve. I've been a Habs fan all of my life, from the 60's where I grew up in Prince George until today, and even though my Dad played in the Bruins organization (farm system), my brother was drafted by the Rangers in the 80's, and a close pal from high school, Mark Hardy, was drafted by the Kings and had a pretty good career in the league with both the Kings and the Rangers. I'm used to folks pulling for anyone but the Habs. This, and that they are the most historic team in the league, is why I love them. Somebody has to...

The Leafs are also a very historic team in the league, although for different reasons 8) (sorry, couldn't resist!)

I do think the Canucks are the only real chance of the cup coming home to Canada this year, though. And I'll be pulling for them all the way (unless the unlikely event of a Canucks / Habs final occurs).

I got called to fill in for a game at my local rink last night (I think the team I played for banished their regular goalie for not winning any games this session), so I missed the first game and then was too tired to stay awake through the second game.
There are only two teams I can't cheer for; Ottawa and Montreal. I could even cheer for the Rangers if Avery was to suffer a career ending injury. I would love to see Vancouver or Calgary in the finals.

PS: 8-4 victory as a fill in. Their regular guy must be terrible, because I sucked & still got the win. 8)
