Well.....thanks, Mel. I appreciate it. Skepticism is difficult to hold back at the moment. I guess I should have been born in Missouri "the Show Me State."

Hey Jim

I, like a bunch of other forum members, have been checking the shipping lists every day to see if YOUR GUITAR has shipped. I've noticed that a few FG's have been shipped, and we're all aware that this forum is regularly visited by RIC people in high places.

Bottom line: I'm sure that they are aware of your patience and loyalty over the last 2 years, and I have faith in them that they will do the right thing and ship your guitar very soon, from this production batch. They're good people.

I can feel it.

Thanks, Bob. But it ain't me that matters. Rhoads Music is the dealer who might wish he could be rattling some chains. I'm the guy at the end of the line, if I understand the whole system correctly. So it looks to me like odds are that Rhoads isn't going to get his 2007 shipment until....what?....Fall, '09?, maybe Winter '09/'10? Nobody really knows.

Why that's almost enough time for me to save up for two Ricks! If my summer gigs are fat enough, and there are some pretty good paydays this Fall....

There's a 370 six string hanging up in a shop here in Lawrence being sold on consignment. I think the shop owner will bargain. (I was thinking about getting a six string Rick someday.) Playing that, I'd sound more like James Burton, or Scotty Moore on a Rick, than Roger McGuinn...which isn't all that bad.

And yeah, I appreciate that some of the Big Guys at RIC drop by this corner of the web. Which is why I've been trying to be careful about what I say, and how I say it. No need in causing unnecessary trouble, or stirring the pot, right? It's just one of those situations where everyone along the road seems to be caught in the same traffic jam. I'm frustrated, I'm sure Jim Rhoads is frustrated, the good folks at RIC are frustrated, I'm sure.....and doing all they can. Image

So I think I'll maintain status quo until 05/09/09 which is the second anniversary of my order, and if I don't hear favorable news before or on that date, I'll start formulating Plan B.

Dare I hope? It looks so, so promising. Somebody pinch me. But we all know the Rule of the RRF: It didn't happen without pix, right?

Heavens Jim, I hope that's yours. We're all pulling for you! Perhaps we could get a Rick-owners convoy to transport it to your home. I can see it now, a string of cars for miles and miles. :D
