Where Is It Now?: The MOTS 325JL

Post by kiramdear »

Just cruising when I ran into this old forum familiar. As of 27 Feb it was living at Chelsea Guitars in Manhattan. IIRC it sold on the 'bay for $15,000 last Fall or Winter, with its custom graphic design over MOTS finish. The esteemed RRF Peanut Gallery gave it a pretty unanimous thumbs-down, despite the groovy paint job

The other guitars look pretty good there. I'll take that Mosrite and give it to Mike Snow, while the 365 can come home with me.

That is miles better than the other one, Paul. Dunno if it's exactly for me, but it is kind of fun to watch

Yeah, I think if I had it to do over again, I would have added a faint tint of xlucent black to the clear to darken it up a bit, and to match the back side, which is black. It would also match my strap, which is a sort of black MOTS, and a Mosrite strap, btw.

I'm going to send the overwound SD neck pickup back to SD to have it wax potted and a chrome cover installed. :D

You have a great eye for style, Paul. I like it that the back of it is black. 8) The f-hole goes without saying.
