Formerly a W/BT.

Inlays converted to full-width crushed pearl, board resurfaced and re-fretted, frets polished, checkerboard purfling and new white binding added. Pickguardian pickguard, clear acrylic, painted on back. Superb job, Tony!

Then a multi-coat Ruby paint job, buffed out to a mirror finish.

More on the way!

All I can say is that we are in the Golden Age of superbly finished Rickenbackers. All credit to PW and Eric B.

Another fine job, Paul! Seeing this reminds me of my '86 Ruby 4003 and how much I wish I didn't sell it.
Looking forward to the others that are on the way.

Beautiful!!!

Paul, the lower right corner of the pickguard is very "close to the edge". Did Tony did that on purpose, to make it look period-correct? Or did he just duplicate the shape of the original guard?

The tuners look like new!

The photo of the back says it all; just look at the sheen to that finish! Awesome work, Paul.

Great job, Paul. Ruby is so cool!

And excellent color match too!

Here's a shot of one of my Ruby's for comparison:

WOW! Nice! Mirror finish indeed, just look at those reflections. In fact, in one you can even see the guy who did this amazing work, taking the picture!
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...
