Rickenbacker Luthier In Baltimore

Post by eestes2 »

Hi,

Does anyone know of any Luthiers or Bass repair sources in the Baltimore region that have Rickenbacker Bass experience that I could trust with my 78' 4001? I am getting back into playing after a 15 year hiatus and my Bass could really use some professional attention to get back in shape. Me too for that matter, but that is a different issue. :D

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Get in touch with Phil Jacoby at Philtone Guitars. He's in Federal Hill just off E. Fort Dr. I live 90 minutes away and he's the only guy I trust with any of my instruments. He's worked on everything I have from Les Pauls and ES-335s to Hofner basses and Rick 12 strings. He's currently restoring a 1966 Gibson J-50ADJ acoustic for me. This guy is the most talented luthier I've comes across in many years and is a perfectionist - just the kind of guy you want working on your gear. There's nothing that this dude can't fix. Trust me.

Thank you very much!. Exactly what I was looking for. That's not far at all for me. I will give him a call and see when he can fit me in.
