Another New Rick Owner Here

Post by jimk »

Hi. My name is Jim, I'm a new Rickenbacker owner. I just thought that I'd properly introduce myself....

Yup, I got The Call from Jim Rhoads himself about 3:00PM local time, saying my guitar was in. He said he'd be sending it out to me on Wednesday (Apr. 22), and that I ought to receive it Friday, possibly Saturday.

I'm so EXCITED I can hardly sit still!

I know, I know "it didn't happen without pix!" I'll post 'em. I will...honest...I'm still shooting film, not digital. For the record, I'll be getting a 360/12 string, Fireglo, with high-gain pickups...full width inlays....oh man that new fireglo....

Now that's great news. Good for you. Congratulations Jim though the next two days might be the longest of the last two years!

1. AC30 weigh 70lbs. They're great if you're 21 years old and strong as an ox. I think I'd go for an AC15. I'm gettin' to be a geezer.
2. And for all those who so kindly offered to inspect, photograph, or otherwise care for her until she get here, all I have to say is "Yer full o' what?!?!?"

Feels great! Although I don't know how I'm going to get to sleep tonight, or tomorrow night.

Hi Jim

Are you new here? I don't recall seeing any prior posts from you.

Just kidding.

YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!

Your graduation from Group Therapy is imminent - please put a post on that thread just to let everyone know that you're OK!

Congratulations, Brother!

Bob: Already did. Thanks, brother.

Mel: Oh you may count on it! However, as I said, I'm still shooting film, not digital. So there'll be a bit of lag time....OK maybe if I can put her down long enough to take pictures.

And thanks to all for the encouragement and kind words, even challenging questions during the loooong wait. I have appreciated your sympathy. What a great place to hang out!

Jim,

You need to buy another one so we can go through all this pain and anguish again.............

Hey Jim,

In lieu of immediate pictures, please provide a thorough description of your new best pal for us.

I think lots of us feel like we've been waiting for our own guitar to ship!

Congrats again!
