Too bad. I suppose it's too far gone for a restoration, isn't it? I mean some one probably hogged out a lot of wood for those furrin pickups, right?

I wonder how much money and time was spent to cut the value of that bass in half?

It was probably done way before ricks were fetching the kinda quid there getting now . It was'nt that big of a deal at the time .I would like to see under that guard though . My guess is , It isnt as hacked as we think . Massaged a little most deffinently . But not ruined by any stretch.

The seller has now clarified that the bass' serial number is coded TG... July of 80.
If I were looking to potentially purchase this bass, I'd be wondering what the huge patch of black tape is hiding on the back...?
