One of these days, I'd love to get my fat fingerprints all over that baby!
Re: Celebrity Rickenbackers
A fantastic post, Andy. I am just thrilled you have this Rickenbacker. Do you sing a mean falsetto too?
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Thanks Peter.admin wrote:A fantastic post, Andy. I am just thrilled you have this Rickenbacker. Do you sing a mean falsetto too?
That would depend on the tightness of my trousers that day...
Re: Celebrity Rickenbackers
There doesn't seem to be a category for "celebrity owned". Did I miss it? It would be nice to be able to indicate that status, so that you could search celebrity owned guitars here, and who the celebrity, or celebrities, are that are associated with it.

Yes Indeed I 2nd this motion!
I would call it "provenance" myself... "Belonged to John Lennon"
or where you got your guitar too... "Bought from Manny's Music NYC in 1983"
Or used onthe track "Shadow and Lights on A&M LP EASTERN WIND"... anything that might be of interest to some future owner of the guitar. Maybe this doesn't show in the public listing that the world sees. Only when you look at the item view while logged in as a group member perhaps?
Just an idea.

Brian: We are all for new ideas. Perhaps Gil will put his thinking cap on in this regard.

Re: Celebrity Rickenbackers
Brian: I agree. Gil's work is simply outstanding. There is a fair bit of work, behind the scenes, that is not transparent to the user.

Re: Celebrity Rickenbackers
Maybe there could be a current listing somewhere of celebrity owned guitars until this idea is implemented?
Re: Celebrity Rickenbackers
Hey guys,
My mom always told it's better late than never...
A new field was added and a celebrity instrument can be easily marked and searched (on the search page).
Enjoy!
