Now the Who picture is from Isle Of Wight or Woodstock? Those would be 1970 and 1969. Another old style stand.

Sure, I remember those flat folding stands from that time. I didn't know they were available at the time of Shea, though. Cool. THe hofner is sitting on one too, I think, though it's not as clear as the 360/12.

Very good; we established the existence of these old style stands back to 1965. Now the question is, when did the tubular modern design come into use?

Here is a design similar to the ones used in the Sixties. I remember that my first one was similar to the ones at Shea, with three arms cradling the bottom and horizontal bar elements for stability. It was not stable at all, however.

Kira, that first pic is what I remember from the very early 70s. They liked to fold up on you....
