Will Lee and his RIC

Post by rickengrowl »

Hi,
Thought you'd enjoy that pic of Will Lee with his RIC, while playing with his band "The Fab Faux" (a Beatles tribute band).
This is probably the only case you may see Will playing a RIC, since he regularly plays Sadowsky basses.
Enjoy !

The lead singer from the band "Boston" has a Beatle band around the Massachusetts area and they are really good. They're called "Beatlejuice" The bass player usually uses a Hofner though. He had a mapleglo Ric in the back of the stage and I once asked him why he didn't use it more, and he mumbled something about maybe "While my guitar gently Sleeps" but I haven't seen it lately.
They do everything, they'll play 60 songs in a night sometimes. They sample all the stuff that they can't play so they really sound like them. They do stuff like "I am the Walrus" "Strawberry Fields forever" etc. stuff you don't hear Beatle bands doing every day. They play them all.

Hey Bob...I've seen Beatlejuice a bunch of times. They are really good. They've been together off and on for a lot of years. If anyone is in the Mass. area, definitely check them out. You beat me to this post, I was going to bring them up. There are a couple of RIC's though. Not basses. A Lennon signature model and a regular 370/12 I think. That bass player is from another "semi-famous" New England band called The Fools and the drummer is from another band from the 80's, Farrenheit. My 2 cents here. Great stuff.
