Price for a J6?

I posted this in the Bass section with some questions there, Figured I should at least see what it's worth...





I have an opportunity to buy one of these at a (what I would consider to be) Reasonable price... but I guess I'm not sure what they're actually going for.

Any information would be great!

That's an interesting variation. All the ones I've seen have the knobs on opposite sides. I've never seen one with a knob on the treble or bass edge. That said. the J6 is probably the least collectible of all the horseshoe pickup models. IMO it's worth a little more or a little less than the pickup+flying saucer knobs+tuners. In other words it might be worth more parted out. If the price is right, it's probably a good investment.

That looks like the sort of steel I've been watching a lot on EBay. I'd prefer one of these than the earlier bakelite models.
