If you had read my post , you would clearly see the sentence "The hipshot is not perfect by any stretch " That means , No it isnt perfect. All im saying is that they do work .And compared to the seven screw bridge i have on one of my basses, they work better. At least for me. Hey man to each his own. Really Just tryin to help .No offense ment to anyone here.

Wow. I hope it works better than it looks.

Looks like creative drilling though .
Re: The bridge thread.....let's be nice and civil....
thats cool though the way you can just remove the mute assembly from the plate . The three screw holes look as if they will fit the existing holes . Unfortunently , You will have to wow out the other two screw holes . Bummer.

I like the welded/fabricated look to this thing. Kinda reminds me of the valve covers on race engines.

It looks like the type of hardware that would been installed on a cheap '70's Japanese made instrument!
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!
Re: The bridge thread.....let's be nice and civil....
I don't like the Hipshot bridge at all, but I really can't believe someone got banned for something as petty as this thread.
Re: The bridge thread.....let's be nice and civil....
I almost hate to resurrect this thread... but has anyone tried glass bedding a bridge in place to remove all traces of a gap in the recess? I think it would be more exact than washers, and glass bedding should be plenty hard enough to maintain the tone.
This topic is of interest because I'm considering a new 4003 and I use cables for strings - Fender 9050M flats.
