Custom Suggestions

Post by justshane »

I have a 2002 360/6 in Jetglo that I am wanting to make a few mods to. I'm sure that this has been posted somewhere before but I wasn't able to find it anywhere...obviously user error! But are there any custom pickguard and truss rod cover makers that you guys would suggest? I know that to get a genuine Rickenbacker truss rod cover I would have to send mine into the company, but that is not what I am looking for. I would just like the same shape truss rod cover, doesn't need to say "Rickenbacker" and then a pickguard that is exactly the same as the one on there now, just a different color. (I guess that wouldn't be "exactly" the same!) After "Googling" to try and find stuff I have decided that there are two avenues that I can go. I can have someone make one or I can make them myself. Since I have become accustomed to having my hands right there at the ends of my arms, I thought that I would see if there was someone else that could make them first.

Any suggestions?

...except Rick shaped TRCs as they are protected by the relevant laws and Tony knows where to draw the line. 8)

I have a 330-6 MB that I bought gold pickguards for from Pickguardian and they did a wonderful job for a great price and were very quick.

As far as TRCs....if you just want to have yours a different color, and it has raised letters, they can do an amazing job of painting your existing one! You would need to email them or call and talk it over. Just make sure you really want the color changed...but as far as making new ones..I think they realize that would be treading on thin ice.

I'm sure he'd be happy to make you a new TRC... as long as it didn't look like a RIC one...
