I'm experiencing Deja Vu. I could swear this has been auctioned twice before within the last few weeks: Ebay - 1979 Rickenbacker 4001 Bass Guitar

Well, AFAIK this is the second time. With the shape it is in and the reserve price it probably has expect to see it again. :lol:

Uh oh, some wing separation. Otherwise I think with some TLC it could be mojolicious.

Damn, that finish looks like spar varnish applied with a thick bristled brush!

I don't know about a THIRD time, but I do remember this bass being up a couple of weeks ago. It's hard to forget that finish...It looks like an elephant sneezed on it to me. eeeewwwww!

I wouldn't have been so kind.

It looks absolutely awful. It reminds me of my grandfather ripping the vinyl top cover off of a 76 Caprice and hand brush painting it black. :(
