Model of the Week 27: The NEW Rickenbacker bass . . .

Post by bassduke49 »

. . . is . . .

Well, there's no news from the factory on what may be the "replacement" for the C series bass after the notice of final orders for the C64/C64S basses being taken back in January. I hereby offer this space to make the announcement for all forumites to read, so, John, Ben, Kenny, Eric, you have the floor.

4002 reissue has already been shot down but I can still dream. I'm pretty sure a 4002-ish "4006" has NOT been shot down so I at least have that.

Also, gimme some fretless.

I vote for a 5 string 4002 or a 2 string 4005.

Whatever it is, we're bound to flip out when we hear...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

I always thought a 381 style bass would be pretty cool (no that isn't it)

I would agree, Eric. It would be SO classy. Just so there was no feedback issues.

We're all waiting for Ben to "drop the bomb", so to speak. :)
