What to do what to do......

Post by Razorback »

Recently I had the opportunity to pick up a very nice 2004 330 in midnight blue which is a colour I've always wanted to have. Stock guitar and plays beautifully. Being the sucker I am, this last week just made the purchase of a 2004 330 in mapleglo with toasters which seemed like a good deal for the price. I'm expecting it to show up today.

Given the cash outlay I am probably going to let one go...but I don't know which one so I need some help deciding. The toasters are staying, no question. But should I just sell the MIB or should I swap the toasters and sell the MG? I absolutely love RIC Mapleglo's but that blue just keeps calling out to me...... HALP!!

I say keep 'em both. Unless you've already got 50 Ricks, you will regret selling one. Heck even if you've got 50 Ricks, you'll still regret selling one. Been there, done that, and I still regret it...

Don't sell a Ric if you have a large establish collection...if you have variety in your collection, sell a non-Ric!

Keep both. One RIC with Hi Gains, one with Toasters. All your bases are covered. Now, is there anything of value you own, but don't use or need? If there is, sell that. If not, go hungry for a couple of weeks.

Thanks for everyone's responses, I should have known better than to put a 'keep them both' option out there with this crowd....

Let's assume that keeping them both is the main choice, which it is. BUT, if I did have to sell one, I'm curious which one of the two choices would be more popular.

And away we go.....

Sell both and get a Blueburst with toasters. You'll get the best of all your chosen favorite qualities, and have a much more valuable investment for the future, and probably make some cash too.

I see I'm the first one to actually vote. I didn't know keeping both was an option. And so....I said keep the mapleglo. But yeah...keep 'em both if you possibly can.

It was an option until recently Jim. I removed it when everyone unanimously for me to keep both. Since that's always the main choice, I want to see what forumites would do if they HAD to make the choice. Sorry for those that voted but it will require a revote now. :|

I vote you keep the MG...mostly because I like the sound of toasters...but you could always put the toasters on the MID...

I still say keep them both and sell something else. Or, cut back on vices. If you smoke, stop. Don't go out to eat or out to clubs for awhile. Don't buy beer, DVDs, video games, clothes or CDs for a month or two. You may be surprised at how much money you'll save. Also,Knowing you sacrificed your own comforts for the guitar will help you bond with it that much easier.

I'm kind of leaning that way too Craig for that reason exactly. This is the first MIB I've come across in Canada and there aren't many in the register. But I do love that wood grain too.

2-2 for each option so far. Arrgghh lol.

I vote 330 MG.

I just like the body style a lot more, and the Mapleglo is a classic finish, that works well with the toasters.
