Stooges reforming with James Williamson

Post by rictified »

Just heard this the other day from The Stooges website. They're going to tour again and hopefully make some new records. I think Williamson could shake them out of their doldrums, that new stooges CD of a couple of years ago was kind of boring.

Should be interesting if they actually make that happen. Hopefully, he's still got all of his chops. They would really need a second guitar to do any of the songs, save 1 or 2, properly. I try to keep my calendar open   I wish!

Well good luck with that, Mike. I hope it won't make a scheduling conflict with your duties for the new Mamas and the Papas album.

The played live three piece with a piano back in the early 70's and sounded great, I've got a lot of that stuff. I think they're going to have a guitar player who played with them back then for a little while do this tour though. Williamson's continued to play. I'm looking forward to this reunion and will definitely see it. That version of The Stooges is by far my favorite and Raw Power is one of my top ten favorite albums of all time. I think the announcement is on the stooges Myspace website.
