I got a new amp
Ever since thursday I've been about as excited as a pig in do do, thats when I recieved my new amp, now I'd bet that none of you guys have heard of it because it's the best kept secret in the music buise. It's an Audiozone model 2, 5 watt amp, and it's just amazing, it's all hand built, point to point wireing, and uses 100% American parts. It has a 12AX7 preamp tube, and a 6V6 power amp tube, an EL 34 can be substituted for the 6V6 tube with out makeing any mods, the speaker is a Jensen 12-35, the chassis is 14 gage welded, and it has a Hammond power transformer, and a specially matched Heyboer output transformer. The front of the amp has an on/off switch, a standby switch, a power light,a volume, bass, and treble controles, and two guitar imputs, one is a clean imput, and the other is for gain. On the back is a 1/2 power switch, a jack for an extention speaker switchable to 8, or 16 ohm, this is a very good looking amp covered in black tolex, with a sharp oatmeal cloth, and the amp cabinate is made of 3/4" birch plywood, I found this by accident, I was on Harmany Central amp database just looking through the many amp co's when I spotted Audiozone just for the hell of it I clicked on and could not beleave the great reviews on not just my amp, but all the amps Audiozone makes, and I never even heard of them, every amp except one scored a perfect "10". When I got my Model 2 it has proven to be everything that I read about it, and then some, the only drawback to these amps is that while he does put them on ebay, if the model your looking for is'nt there, or in stock it takes between 5-6 weeks for him to make an amp for a customer. When I first plugged in my Ric 375 I was amazed at how this guitar sounded the Audiozone faithfully reproduce the sound of my 375, the same with my 620, my G&L's and strat, we're talking major tone here, and you would'nt beleave how loud 5 watts can be, now Im not talking irritating loud, but instead super tone loud, anyway if any of you are in the market for a new amp, just get on Harmany Central, and read the reviews.
