By the number of responses, perhaps nobody shivs-a-git...

...but my 1957 Combo 800 has arrived.

Horseshoe pickups DEFINITELY belong on guitars, too!

Sir Andrew. Forgive us sire for not paying proper homage to the Combo. Our allegiance 'tis strong but a tad absent at present. On the morrow, many servants will feast their eyes on the grail of the 800th as its image is rendered here.

Your Royal Highness:

Thou hast deigned to knight me "Sir Andrew" whence my posteths numbered 100. Now, thou hast graciously displayed the Grail of the 800th for your humble subject to admire thusly...

Long liveth the McCormack dynasty!

One of the Sam Ash stores on "Music Avenue" or whatever in Manhattan had a Combo 800 and even though it was worn past eternity, it was one of the cooler guitars I've played.

It sounds so "sweet" with just the treble pickup on... then you throw the switch to engage the bass pickup and Wow!! Does it ever get growly! It's like stomping on an overdrive pedal!
